The house is located on the edge of Spili and has been renovated and maintained to keep the traditional character of the house intact. It sits on a 180m² plot that enjoys stunning views of the mountains and Spili Valley.
The property has a front garden that leads up to the house, with two orange trees, a lemon tree and a vine, as well as storage spaces and a small timber shed. The house itself consists of a kitchen, bathroom and bedroom on the ground floor and a large, bright living room on the first floor.
From the living room, one can exit to the veranda, which is sheltered by a pergola, and enjoy the amazing view and nature, as many wild birds fly above the house. There is also a separate room on the ground floor, which is currently used as storage, and can be transformed into a guest house or a second bedroom. The house has a solar water heater, double-glazed windows and has been plumbed for a central heating system.
The house is built on the foot of the mountain and there are even some pieces of rock incorporated into the design of the kitchen & stairs. The condition of the property is excellent and it has a cosy, rustic character.
Spili, one of the biggest villages in Crete, is the gateway to the south coast. Rethymno is about 25 minutes away, same for the amazing south coast beaches. The village offers all utilities and amenities, which are within walking distance of the property.
